Maui Dolphins Workouts are Monday through Friday 4:30-6:00+ and sometimes Saturday mornings at the Upcountry Pool in Pukalani Maui. Our practice swimmers range from 5-18 mostly, but there are some masters (like our coaches) who also race at the meets; and some precocious 4 year olds who do well in our Doggie Paddlers group.

MAGSA Schedule: This is the table of MAGSA A/B/C, All-island Invitational meets, and State Champs by season (Spring=Long Course and Fall=Short Course). You can download the Excel spreadsheet of this schedule.
Dolphins Calendar: We participate in all MAGSA meets, and others as determined by swimmer needs and availability. We also list here club events including intra-squad meets, Support Activities, Ocean Competitions, Board Meetings, Coaches meetings, etc.

Swim Seasons: Swimming is a year-round sport ... and we practice year-round. Withing the year, there are two "competition seasons" generally recognized by USA-Swimming - and sort of a third:

Long Course (aka LCM in a 50 meter pool) from April through August each year with state championships in mid to late July.
Short Course (aka SCY in a 25 yard pool) from September through December (this may change to March depending on the LSC, Hawaii High School Swimming, etc.).
Short Course Meters (aka SCM in a 25 meter pool) from February to March. This "season" is being tried this year as the LCM season has beem moved later and the High School Season (Nov-mid Feb for HS states). 2x 25m meets will be held in Kihei (the only pool configured to be able to have a 25m meet).

High School Swimming: On Maui, the High school season goes from November (first competition early December) through late February (MIL Champs 2nd week in February). Maui Dolphins shares the pool with two high schools for the High School season, but we continue working out. Summers we do our own intra-squad meets and host a "fun" Pentathlon (50 of each stroke and a 100 IM) in mid-August. This year with a later LCM state champs, we'll have a shorter summer season. High School and USA-Swimming athletes are not allowed to work out or compete together due to liability insurance limitations - no one is covered if ANYONE is not covered. (Separate lanes with a separate coach is required.)
